Welcome to ScanStory. By accessing or using our website at myscanstory.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. ScanStory is an augmented reality platform that enables users to upload images and videos, generate QR codes, and create AR experiences for end-users to view through scanning.

Eligibility & Account

To ensure a secure and fair environment for all users, we've established the following account guidelines:

• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• You must not share your account credentials with any third party.
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or breach of security.

Payments & Billing

• All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period.
• You may cancel automatic renewal at any time through your account settings.
• No refunds shall be issued for partial billing periods.
• Plan upgrades take effect immediately upon payment confirmation.
• Plan downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

Projects & Scans

• A "Project" constitutes one image-video pair with an associated QR code.
• A "Scan" constitutes one successful AR detection event by an end-user.
• Project limits are based on your current subscription plan.
• Deleting projects releases project slots for new creations.
• Scan limits reset monthly for active paid subscriptions.

User Content

• You retain all ownership rights to the images and videos you upload.
• By uploading content, you grant ScanStory a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, process, and display your content for service delivery.
• You represent and warrant that you own or have obtained all necessary rights to your uploaded content.
• You shall not upload content that infringes upon any third-party intellectual property rights.
• You shall not upload illegal, offensive, or inappropriate content.
• We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms without prior notice.

QR Codes & AR Detection

• All QR codes generated through the platform are for your exclusive use.
• Downloaded QR codes remain your property and may be used indefinitely.
• QR codes remain functional only while your subscription remains active.
• Detection accuracy depends on image quality, lighting conditions, and end-user device capabilities.
• We do not guarantee 100% detection success across all devices and environments.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following:

• Uploading content that violates any applicable law or regulation.
• Infringing upon the intellectual property rights of others.
• Sharing account credentials with unauthorized users.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the platform.
• Scraping, data mining, or using automated tools to extract platform data.
• Using the platform for any unlawful or harmful purpose.
• Interfering with the proper functioning of the platform.

Intellectual Property

• ScanStory owns all rights, title, and interest in the platform software, code, design, and technology.
• The ScanStory name, logo, and branding are our exclusive trademarks.
• You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of our platform without written consent.
• You may not use our trademarks or branding without prior written permission.

Privacy & Data Protection

• Your use of the platform is governed by our Privacy Policy.
• We collect, process, and store personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
• By using the platform, you consent to our data practices as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScanStory shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• We shall not be liable for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities.
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amounts paid by you to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold ScanStory harmless from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from:

• Your uploaded content.
• Your use of the platform.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any third-party rights.

Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, illegal activity, or extended inactivity.
• Upon termination, your license to use the platform immediately ceases.
• Your content may be permanently deleted after 30 days of termination.
• No refunds shall be issued for prepaid periods upon termination.

Modifications to Terms

• We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time.
• Changes become effective immediately upon posting to the website.
• Material changes will be notified via email or platform notice.
• Your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

• These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.
• Any disputes arising under these Terms shall first be attempted through good-faith negotiation.
• If disputes cannot be resolved through negotiation, they shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, India.
• You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits against ScanStory.

General Provisions

• These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ScanStory.
• If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force.
• Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute waiver of that right.
• You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent.
• We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
